PricioBot
PricioBot checks the price of products that Pricio users have chosen to follow, so they can be told when the price drops. This page is for store owners who see it in their logs.
PricioBot starts with Pricio's closed beta in January 2027.
What it fetches
- Only product pages that a Pricio user has saved. It does not follow links or crawl your catalogue.
- Each product page a few times a day at most. When many users follow the same product, PricioBot still fetches it once.
- Your robots.txt, before it visits your site, and again at least once a day.
It sends few requests to each store, and it waits longer between requests when your server answers with 429 or 503. It never tries to get past a block, a challenge or a login.
How to recognise it
Every request uses this user agent:
PricioBot/1.0 (+https://pricio.se/bot)Requests come from these IP addresses. We list new addresses here before we use them.
46.225.1.92
How to stop it
Add this to your robots.txt. PricioBot stops visiting your site within 24 hours:
User-agent: PricioBot
Disallow: /You can also email bot@pricio.se from an address on your store's domain. We confirm by reply and stop within 24 hours. Pricio users then see that your store does not allow price tracking.
What we keep
From each product page we keep the price, currency, availability, product name and the link. We do not keep copies of your pages, descriptions or images. Product images are shown by linking to your own image address.
